Press Release: Team Amani Announces 2025 Roster: A Strong Mix of Talent from Across Africa

Nairobi, Kenya – January 26, 2025 – Team Amani is proud to announce the 2025 roster, featuring 8 riders from Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, and Ethiopia. This diverse and talented group of athletes will represent Team Amani in a range of cycling disciplines, including road, gravel, and mountain biking, as the team continues its mission to develop competitive cycling in East Africa and beyond.

The 2025 roster is a powerful mix of established riders and promising newcomers, all with a shared goal of achieving excellence on the bike while inspiring the next generation of African cyclists.

The Team Amani 2025 Roster:

  1. Charles Kagimu(@charles_kagimu)
    A true African champion, Charles Kagimu joins Team Amani in 2025 after an impressive 2024, which included competing in the Olympics and World Championships. As the current African Champion in the Time Trial, Charles brings unparalleled strength and experience to both road and gravel racing this season.

  2. Jordan Schleck (@sjord5an_schleck)
    Jordan, an original member of Team Amani, returns with a wealth of experience after a successful year in the USA. With his sights set on races in East Africa, Europe, and the USA, Jordan is ready to bring his energy and progression to the international stage once again.

  3. Xaverine Nirere (@xaverinenirere)
    Rwanda's National Gravel Champion, Xaverine had a fantastic 2024, finishing 8th overall in the @gravelearthseries and winning a stage at the @migrationgravelrace. Xaverine’s versatility and talent make her one to watch in 2025, with endless potential ahead.

  4. Tsgabu Grmay (@tsgabugrmay)
    After an illustrious career in the WorldTour, Tsgabu made a successful transition to off-road racing in 2024. In 2025, Tsgabu will take on the @lifetimegrandprix in the USA while continuing to play a pivotal role in managing the team. A true leader, his experience is invaluable both on and off the bike.

  5. Eric Muhoza (@muhozaeric_)
    The Rwandan National Gravel Champion, Eric Muhoza, joins Team Amani for 2025, bringing with him great ambition in both road and gravel racing. With strong performances in races like the Tour of Rwanda, we believe Eric is primed for success this season.

  6. Samuel Niyonkuru (@niyonkurusamuel_)
    Samuel is back for another year with Team Amani, bringing his proven potential and experience. With the addition of a road racing calendar, we are excited to see how Samuel progresses in 2025, continuing to show his immense talent on the bike.

  7. Ndung'u Kieya (@ndungu_wa_kieya)
    Kieya returns for his second year with Team Amani, bringing his strong skills in MTB and gravel racing. Known for his positive energy, Kieya will be a key asset to the team, inspiring his teammates and fans alike.

  8. Stanley Ngugi (@ngugi6433)
    Team Amani’s youngest member, Stanley, started his cycling journey with @joyriderskenya before joining @blackmambascycling in 2024. As the current Kenyan National Gravel Champion, Stanley’s potential is undeniable, and we are thrilled to see him represent Team Amani at the highest level both in East Africa and in Europe.
